Ondalinda x Careyes, Careyes, miércoles, 07. noviembre 2018

This year we welcome you back for our third edition of Ondalinda x Careyes this November 7 - 11, 2018 in the magical land of Careyes, Mexico.

Ondalinda means beautiful wave and represents a new way of life - a new way for people to connect spiritually, elevate their frequency and co-create their future. Our mission is to celebrate music, art, sustainability, and to promote this way of living. From music with live acts, ceremonial sounds and internationally renowned DJs, to indigenous art, craftsmanship and modern painters, Ondalinda celebrates the Arts in all its forms. Our events encompass ceremonial and spiritual experiences for both body and mind through music, dancing, yoga, meditation and indigenous ceremonies.

Hosted on the breathtaking shorelines of Careyes on the Mexican Pacific, Ondalinda x Careyes celebrates the vibrant Mexican culture and its tremendously rich indigenous tribes. This year's five day celebration will feature a weekend full of music and the arts - from culturally inspired exhibitions, indigenous arts & ceremonies, to some of our favorite DJs and live acts (more to be released soon).

Our theme this year is Spirit Animals, a story which will be tied into each celebration. Shamans around the world have looked towards the wisdom, guidance, and symbolism of spirit animals for thousands of years. As with our previous editions, we will be working with indigenous tribes to curate ceremonial experiences and an art exhibition at our gallery. Crafts works will be available for purchase, with proceeds going straight back to the tribes. Guests will also be able to explore a market independent Mexican designers and artisans who will be selling their treasures.

In honor of legendary artist, partner, and friend, Philippe Moellhausen, we will be working with his family as well as local emerging artists to bring this year's story and vision to life. Expect many surprises and sets that will transport you to another place and time...

Mexico has one of the largest and most diverse indigenous populations in Latin America, with this culture living at the heart of Mexican society. This is something that is tremendously inspiring to us and is at the core of our mission. Throughout our event, we will showcase various indigenous communities, artists, musicians, and artisans from throughout Mexico, in an effort to share their craft and keep their colorful culture alive.

The Ondalinda Foundation, (under the Umbrella of the Many Hats Institute, a registered 501C-3 nonprofit organization) as a way to give back to these populations and their arts. The funds donated here, are given to the various indigenous communities that we work with, in an effort to keep their craft and traditions alive.

The Careyes Foundation was founded in 2012, although our oldest program, the Sea Turtle Protection and Conservation Center, has operated since 1983. Since then, we have created programs in the fields of English language education, bike polo and recreational cycling, contemporary arts, cinema, and environmental education, reaching a population of around 7,000 people.
